Rene Marie Russo was an American film director, actor, and supermodel. Famous for her stunning beauty, her longevity in the highly demanding film industry shows her skills and talent as a performer. In the 1970s, she began her modeling career before becoming a well-known actor in the field. Then, in the mid 1990s she began to study acting and theatre. Later, when she was in Los Angeles and California she was the first to appear on stage. Russo began her film debut on ABCs drama show Sable in 1987 as the character Eden Kendell. The following year, she played Tom Berengers love interest in her debut film Major League. Many critics were skeptical of her acting skills however her steady performance was enough to convince them. They particularly loved her performance in Wolfgang Petersen's Outbreak in which she held herself against the likes that of Dustin Hoffman and Morgan Freeman. She admits that she is not passionate about acting. After a lengthy break, she self-imposed the role in 2005. In the film Thor the actress returned to acting. The actress also appeared in her husband's Oscar prize-winning feature film Nightcrawler. The Intern was her first funny and lighthearted film. She went on to make appearances in Just Getting Started and other comedy films.
Rose Namajunas has been one among the most well-known UFC female athletes. She started her career as an amateur fighter participating in regional competitions before signing up with Invicta Fighting Championships and later being a part of the Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC). Her name has been gaining a lot of recognition since joining the UFC because of her outside and inside the octagon's spotlight. Namajunas was born June 29th, 1992 in Milwaukee, Wisconsin to a Lithuanian immigrants family. When she was growing up, Rose was involved in sports such as basketball and kickboxing. Invicta Fighting Championships gave her an opportunity to fight professionally at the age of 18. She defeated two opponents. Dana White noticed this and the following month, in December 2014, the age of 22 she signed Rose for UFC's strawweight Division. All through Rose's time in the sport, she's had periods of the highs and lows with each time coming out on top. The month of April was when Rose fought Carla Esparza for the inaugural Women s Strawweight Championship at The Ultimate Fighter 20 Finale where she won by technical knockout, less than three minutes into Round One - becoming not only winning the title but also being named Fighter Of The Night along with creating history within MMA as this fight marked first time ever that a female fighter competed for a championship title in any big promotion in the world . After this win, Namajunas went onto have several more successful fights including defeating Joanna Jedrzejczyk twice which earned her Performance Of The Night honors from UFC following these victories .
