Niykee continues to write songs, even though she has been part of the latest turmoil. She was hand-picked for the YouTube Brandcast by Snoop and Snoop was on stage with her. Her popularity is constant for new producers starting out. The beats she receives spark songs. It's only after five minutes that I know if a particular beat is worth it. Then I can get an idea of a complete song in my brain and I start writing. My guitar is set up on the porch, and I'll let my words flow. Most of the time, it's done in less than 30 minutes. While she develops her skills as a lyricist, Niykee explains that the pain of her past serves as an endless source of unlikely sources of inspiration. Even when she's not writing about the things which were actually taking place, all of her pain due to her childhood and the losing her younger sister makes its way into the music. The resulting music is shaped by my experiences and gives it a deeper sense of meaning that I believe is extremely important.
